How to Play
Pick up the basics in 5 minutes. Master the strategy over a lifetime.
Deal 13 cards each
Four players, one full deck — 13 cards each. Spades are always trump. Round 1 is an open round with no bidding, so everyone just plays.
Make your call
From Round 2 onward, bid how many tricks you'll win (minimum 2). Call 6 or higher to aim for a double-points bonus if you land it exactly.
Play your tricks
Lead any card. Players must follow the lead suit if possible. Highest card of the lead suit wins — unless a trump (♠) is played.
Score and climb
Meet your call → earn the tricks. Miss it → lose the points. First player to reach 30 points wins the game.

Yes. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and nothing is locked behind a paywall — every game mode, AI level, and multiplayer feature is available at no cost. Single-player mode requires no account at all. Multiplayer just needs a free account so your rating and stats are saved. The guides and articles on this site carry advertising, which is what keeps the game itself free to run.
Yes. Create a private room and share the 6-letter code with your friends, or send a direct invite link. Up to 4 players can join. Public rooms are also available if you want to play against random opponents.
Round 1 has no bidding phase — every trick you win counts directly. Rounds 2 onward require a bid (call) before playing begins. The double bonus for calls of 6 or more does not apply in Round 1.
No, and past a point they cost you. Tricks above your call score nothing — call 3 and win 5 and you still score +3. But if you win double your call or more, the overtrick penalty applies and you score −call instead: call 3 and win 6 and you take −3. It mostly affects low calls, and it is there to stop players calling the minimum every round and coasting.
Spades are always trump in Call Bridge. Any spade beats any card of any other suit, regardless of rank.
Yes. Single-player games run entirely in your browser or on-device — no server needed once the page loads. Three AI difficulty levels are available: Easy, Medium, and Hard.
After each multiplayer match your rating updates using a standard ELO formula. Beating higher-rated opponents earns more points. Your ranking appears on the global leaderboard.
They get a 30-second grace period to reconnect. If they don't return, an AI takes their seat automatically. They can reclaim their seat the moment they reconnect.
Not yet — native iOS and Android apps are in development but have not been published. In the meantime the web version at bridgeplay.online is a progressive web app, so you can add it to your home screen from your browser and it will open like an installed app, with no store visit required.
