Scoring FAQ
How do you calculate Call Bridge score?
In Call Bridge, your score depends on whether you met your call. If you called 4 and won 4 or more tricks (but fewer than 8), you score +4. If you called 6 or higher and met it, your score doubles — call 7 and win 7 gives +14. Missing your call deducts the full call amount. In the open round (Round 1), every trick won scores +1 with no bidding.
What is the overtrick penalty in Call Bridge?
If you win at least double the number of tricks you called, you lose your call as a penalty. Call 2 and win 4 → −2. Call 3 and win 6 → −3. This prevents players from always bidding the minimum and coasting.
How does the double bonus work?
Calls of 6 or higher earn double points when met. Call 6 and win 6 → +12. Call 7 and win 7 → +14. Call 8 and win 8 → +16. Missing by even one trick loses the full call with no doubling.
What score do you need to win Call Bridge?
The first player to reach 30 points wins. If two players reach 30 in the same round, the higher score wins. Some house rules use 21 or 40 as the target.
Can your score go negative in Call Bridge?
Yes. Missing your call deducts the full call amount. A player at 3 points who misses a call of 6 drops to −3. There is no floor — negative scores are common in competitive games.
